foggy bloggy

i went to my first blog, for the first time in many months, and could see that some changes had been made. i didn't see nearly as many ads as had been on there before (and having no control over the ads being displayed was one of the reasons i changed away from them). the whole thing had been cleaned up quite a bit.

almost makes me want to go back to it. first love, and all that ....

joe friday

well, this is curious. i just found out the feds are watching my blog. i'm not sure why they are, but have i been out-of-line here? i don't recall ever saying anything against the government or giving away any secrets. i don't even know any secrets.

and i doubt anyone would get the idea i'm sleeping with the canadians or asians or bad guys. i mean, i rarely have a nice word to say about anyone but americans.

most of the people i interact with at work don't blog or spend much time on the computer, maybe because they're older. i know a couple of the younger people have blogs although i haven't looked at them.

and i have wondered why i've NEVER seen anything in any of the training we've had that says to watch your step if you have a blog. it's made me wonder if the higher-ups are even aware that blogs could potentially be a bad thing.

and now they're looking at me. *sigh*

one for the little guy

i just had a nice surprise. one of my favorite e-mail-pals sent me this. i enjoyed watching it, especially since it happened 4 days ago, and because the gal is scottish!!

at any rate, she's had a fairly sheltered life, and to see her step right up and belt away was neat. i found this comment on one blog. and this on another. but i particularly like this one.

way to go, susan!!

little ones

remember me talking about the triplets that are related to the big boss? they are almost 6 months old now and are just darling.

go to http://hobokentriplets.blogspot.com/ to see how cute they are and how much they've grown. they have been on a soap opera and there's a quick video clip which has one of them on it.

it will be fun to watch them grow, from afar.

the old and the new

my co-worker, Mr. Billy GG, decided to start his own blog. if you're interested in reading the rants and ramblings of an old, opinionated, irish dude, go here. personally, i think he's going to get tired of it real fast, but we'll see. he has some good thoughts as well as some which are way out there. and it won't be hard to figure out that he's a republican.

the sands of time

things change, people move on. i'd forgotten about a couple of blogs i used to read voraciously, but just now thought about them and decided to give them a quick look.

one -- http://slimbolala.blogspot.com/ -- is delightfully written by a young dad who, with his wife and two young daughters, lives in new orleans and has nothing but good to say about living there. i think he has a job with computers, but he also spends time drawing wonderful faces on his blog.

the other -- http://www.sundrymourning.com/ -- is written by a young mom (who's pregnant again) who lives with her husband and gorgeously cute little boy in seattle. she has a sharp wit which is unduplicatible -- she's says stuff i would never say because it seems to be negative, but it turns out to be just hilarious.

at any rate, if you're looking for something to do, cruise on over to either of those sites and peruse them to your heart's content. because it will be.

what kind of mind ...

okay, all you family members who would like to know what kt did for thanksgiving -- go to his november 24 post. read it and enjoy the pictures, then at the bottom of the post where he says 'wish you a happy thanksgiving in person', click on the link. you'll have to wait about 5 minutes or so (unless you have dial-up, then the wait is more like 92 hours) for it to download, but then -- whoa! very cool!! watch out, george lucas!

hairy coos

if you want to do some light blog reading about an american guy and his wife attending a scottish wedding (among other things), go to http://www.symbioticpublishing.com/James-wedding.html . dry wit and great imagery.
