good grief!

this is getting tiresome. our credit card has been compromised again.  i think the last time was last year, and the time before may have been a year or two earlier, then about 5 years previous to that it had been compromised.

i hate bad people. and i think that when you find people who take that information and steal stuff, you should execute them. no jail. just right to extermination. there are too many bad people as it is. and all those bad people have no rights. rosy-glasses and tolerance be damned. those people are not reformable and they just screw the good people over and over. i'm fed up with it.

greedy businesses

i don't quite get this article about it being illegal now, for people to unlock their cell phones for use with a different carrier. cell companies already have the privilege of charging their customers hundreds of dollars if they switch to a different carrier before their contract is up so why this deal with the phone? not that i understand why anyone would do it and it sounds like they would do it before their contract was up. i'm in the dark except it sounds like consumers are getting screwed again. and verizon's heavy hand was one reason i left them when i was able. fuckers. i am quite happy with consumer cellular -- no contract and i can use my phone right at the border. which i could not with verizon. consumer cellular may be geared toward old people, but it's the absolutely best deal in all areas, so why consider anything else?!

they want money

retailers have been given permission to charge their customers who use a credit card. even though it appears many companies may not do that, at this time, don't be surprised if it happens to you at some point. in which case i will simply use cash. and then they will probably charge people for using cash.

prime playground for bad guys

hey criminals, have i got a hot tip for you. you can do anything you want (rape, murder, robbery, drugs, etc) and the most jail-time you can get is 21 years! in luxury! because they think they can rehabilitate  you. hahahahaha.... isn't that the funniest thing you ever heard?!

'where' you ask? norway, of course. just a-hop-and-a-skip away and the country is yours to bedevil anyway you like. i encourage you to leave this country and get over there as fast as you can. it'll all be gravy!

losing a love and learning to hate

all right, that does it. i found out the other day that my absolutely favorite listening station has quit.  yes, Groovera, aka FrostByte Groove Lounge, has called it quits. i loved that station -- specifically Low Mercury -- and it didn't have any commercials to interrupt whatever you had going. tim q. quitting, because of personal health, is a tragedy all by itself.

but now, we find out the first class airline tickets we bought for our trip to MYS's wedding has a leg which is messed up. the plane has been downgraded and they moved us three rows back. WTF??? oh sure, it's a computer system that makes the seating decisions and there's nothing they can do and no you can't have any money back.

well, i'm not in the mood. i've lost my music and now my money doesn't mean anything. after this trip i will never fly again. i don't care that it will take longer to get there. slower pace, back to the roots, remember how sweet it used to be. big business can just get along without me. and i totally do not care if they eventually have money problems, and i would help them down the tubes after experiencing their snotty/hateful attitude toward their customers. greedy bastards i can do without.

but i really miss my music.

can't we just put the bad people on another planet?

it seems that once again everyone is being warned there's a really bad virus out there, and this time the fbi is involved.

so i went to the recommended site and scrolled down to the first one of their 'check it with this' sites and my computer seems to be okay.

for now.  sheesh.

evil dictates

i quit liking amazon x-years ago when it was revealed they marked the cost of things differently for different buyers according to some system none of us knew about. now they are telling companies they have to price their items the same no matter where they sell them. i still don't like amazon. they are draconian.

stop protecting the jerks

so these guys are in a packed stadium playing a game and a loonie runs onto the field to attack a player. the player quickly responds to the threat, knocks the guy down and kicks him a couple of times. wrong response apparently. they threw the player out of the game.

the ref said knocking him down should have been enough. but i have a problem with that. listen ref, go after the bad guy, not the victim. this coddling of the bad guys and their rights really needs to stop.

if someone is going after you, you should not get in trouble for responding. a strong response might make the next guy think twice about running onto the field in the first place.

there's always a monster

wow! those killings in norway .... what an unbelieveably sad thing. most of them were young people who had their whole lives ahead of them.

and what a monster breivik is. from what little i've read, i've concluded he must be a spoiled, insecure, egocentric, deranged creep. he wanted to get people's attention and warn them about islam. i guess i haven't found the part where it explains how killing a bunch of norwegians helps his cause.

but did you see the most he can be sentenced for is 21 years?! appalling! and yes i read that they can extend it every five years by five years, but good grief. the whole thing just makes you shake your head and wonder 'what in the world'.

wear protective gear

i've always heard that kudzu was a bad plant, but hogweed is a terrorist. if you come upon it, immediately head the other way and make sure your loved ones are with you. the plant's sap can cause third-degree burns and if it gets in your eyes, it can blind you.  ick!

will the judge toss it out

awwww, poor little convicted killer has his itty bitty feelings hurt? the word 'inmate' is causing him mental anguish?

he's suing n.y. state for $50 mil. because the term has bothered him for a long time. awww, poor guy.

and he's eligible for parole in two years. could it be that he's looking for a nest egg? nah, surely not this poor, defenseless, downtrodden, pitiful soul.

let us pray.

the bad guys are still out there

as if there wasn't enough reason to dislike banks, here's another one: many of them are not complying with the Truth in Savings Act. they aren't telling us ahead of time about the cost of doing business with them. good grief. let's just close down the ones who aren't complying. what's the problem??

if someone had done that to my kids .....

did you read about the father who vows to kill his son's murderer when the murderer's released from prison 12 yrs before the end of his sentence because he's had 'good behavior'?

reading about it was just disgusting. what was rhode island thinking to put this guy in jail for 40 yrs anyhow? he killed a little boy and ate his flesh. the guy is a total sickoid and letting him loose in society is unjustifiable.

in all the articles i read, there was only 1 comment where someone said the guy should be given a chance. oh come on -- take off your rose-colored glasses. how old are you anyway? and what's your religion?

i agreed with the rest of the comments.

giddy-up

you've got to read this really funny account of a guy stealing food and making his get-away in a motorized shopping cart.

oh good grief

it's a beautiful day outside, the temps are in the low 70s, there's a 2 mph whisper of air drifting by.

in spite of all that goodness, i'm dismayed/disgusted/perturbed to read about the bad guys who lurk/pounce/attack any way they can. to wit:
1) be alert to older friends who seem to become dependent on someone they met online.
2) don't pay for charges on your credit card that you didn't make, even if it's only 20 cents, because someone somewhere is living high.
3) be careful about work-at-home online jobs.
4) pay your credit card bill completely every month and keep the late fees to yourself.
5) be careful about unsolicited phone calls.
6) know that revenge against you may be ignored.

bastards. all of them.

don't let the bed bugs b-.... ouch!

bed bugs, known to us all by the good-night ditty, apparently exist and are becoming more common. who thinks about bed bugs? i haven't ever thought about them and have never known anyone who's been bothered by them.

but they're becoming a real problem in this country, it seems. ohio and new york city sound like places to stay away from, as well as expensive hotels. if we didn't already have our plane tickets, i would be sorely tempted to stay home. no ... we're not staying in an expensive hotel, but still ...

bugs. yuck!
