about an hour ago it started blowing like crazy. i heard an unexpected noise and investigated. our large grill -- black metal, curved lid, on legs with wheels, a shelf, large propane tank, about 30+ lbs, complete with large green plastic enveloping cover -- had been blown eastward onto its side and completely off our patio.....about a 12 inch drop.
i called hubby and he came home, righted the thing, disconnected the tank, and left it off the patio snugged up next to the house. he came in to talk a bit before heading back to the restaurant.
just as he was about to leave, i heard another noise and looked up to watch the grill sail across and off the patio to the west. i might not have believed it except that i watched it happen. up 12 inches, across the 10 feet of patio, and down the other 12 inches. amazing!
it is now in the garage.
